Eligibility explained… Support from folks@home is funded by Torbay Council via the Supporting People programme, which means that there is no charge to the client. Funding is provided for those who meet the eligibility criteria as follows: A client must have a ‘housing related support need’ in order to receive support from folks@home. This means anyone who needs support to live more independently. In addition to this the client must be: Aged 55 or over Living in Torquay or Paignton If you are unsure about eligibility or have any questions about ‘housing related support’ and what it means, please telephone us on 01803 21 27 25 and we will provide more information. We can receive referrals from: Any concerned party Direct application from individuals Family Members Doctors Social Workers Care Managers Healthcare professionals Hospital Discharge Team Charities Supporting People Hub Support can continue for up to two years.
